Castle is best known for playing "The Shape" (Michael Myers) in the original Halloween (1978). Although his portrayal of the masked killer was mostly silent, Castle's physical performance helped define the eerie, emotionless nature of the character. He later reprised his role as Michael Myers for select scenes in Halloween (2018) and Halloween Kills (2021), collaborating with James Jude Courtney, who played the character for the majority of these films.

Castle transitioned to directing and screenwriting after his success with Halloween. His directing credits include: The Last Starfighter (1984): A beloved sci-fi adventure film that became a cult classic. Dennis the Menace (1993): A family comedy based on the popular comic strip character. The Boy Who Could Fly (1986): A critically acclaimed drama exploring themes of grief and imagination.

Nick Castle’s dual achievements as an actor and filmmaker have made him a versatile and enduring figure in Hollywood. Whether scaring audiences as Michael Myers or delighting them with heartfelt and imaginative stories, Castle’s impact on cinema spans decades.
